Violah is a social researcher with over 10 years of managing qualitative and quantitative research. She is an astute researcher with a keen eye to detail and very high levels of professionalism. Her technical skills in conducting research projects, monitoring and evaluation, learning and reporting involving multiple stakeholders using different and tailored methodologies are uncontested. She has worked in the East African region including ASALs and fragile zones on projects in governance, conflict and peacebuilding, food security, agriculture and livelihoods, pastoralism and pastoralism development, women economic empowerment, children and vulnerable groups including youth, women and forcibly displaced persons. Her vast experience in development work intertwined with research has propelled her expertise in her career currently. She has managed big assignments with up to a larger sample of over 10,000 without a challenge. Violah holds an MA -Political Science degree and a BED Arts degree from Kenyatta University. Her experience in research is vast in the Eastern Africa region and has worked in research-based organizations/firms, (I)NGOs, profit making and donor-funded organization including experience with USAID, DFID, EU, UN, World Bank and AusAID among others.
